The international exhibition of author dolls "Doll’Arte" will take place in March

From March 20 to 22, 2026, the second international exhibition of author dolls "Doll’Arte" will take place in Riga, in the conference hall of the Bellevue Park Hotel Riga. The first exhibition, held in March 2025, caused a real sensation: over 80 masters from 10 countries presented their unique works, gathering a huge number of visitors and enthusiastic reviews.

This year, the event will be even larger: expanded exhibition spaces will allow participants from 18 countries to personally present their creations. Special attention will be given to author dolls created for the competition on the theme "And the sea, like life...", which aims to stimulate creative development and attract attention to new ideas and techniques in the art of author dolls.

The exhibition is organized by an active community of masters and enthusiasts of author dolls, united by the desire to support and develop this unique art form. "Doll’Arte" promises to be a significant event in the cultural life of the city and to provide visitors with unforgettable experiences.

Over the past year, the organizers have actively promoted the exhibition on the international stage: the community presented a joint stand at major events such as the "Rīgas sparņi" exhibition in Riga, as well as international exhibitions in Spain and the Czech Republic. Extensive coverage on social media attracted the attention of both professionals and art enthusiasts from around the world. The uniqueness of "Doll’Arte" lies in the live communication between masters and visitors. Artists not only showcase their works but also share the secrets and nuances of doll creation, which enhances the interest and engagement of the audience. This format fosters a deep understanding and recognition of author dolls as a full-fledged art form, creating an atmosphere of live dialogue and experience exchange.

The exhibition is traditionally timed to coincide with International Puppeteer Day, which adds a special solemnity and festive mood to the event. The opening will be accompanied by official speeches and vibrant performances, creating a true celebration for all participants and guests.

The exhibition program is filled with a variety of events: over three days, workshops will be held where masters will share their techniques and secrets of creating author dolls. This will allow visitors not only to see finished works but also to immerse themselves in the creative process, gaining new knowledge and inspiration.
