Liza Minnelli presented a new song titled "Kids, Wait Til You Hear This," which was created using artificial intelligence. This is her first music release in 13 years. The deep house track was prepared with the participation of ElevenLabs.
Minnelli explained that AI was used only for arrangements, but not for reproducing her voice. She noted that the project allows for the use of modern tools for self-expression while respecting the artist's voice, choices, and creative rights.
The song is included in a compilation that also features Art Garfunkel's track "Authorship" with piano accompaniment created by AI.
Both artists spoke positively about the use of new technologies, emphasizing that humans remain at the center of the creative process and gain new opportunities. At the same time, some representatives of the music industry, such as Ed Sheeran and Lil Wayne, express doubts about the accurate reproduction of voice and believe that AI could take jobs away from people.
