The first trailer for Steven Spielberg's new, yet untitled UFO film is already being shown in theaters before screenings of the sci-fi drama "Avatar 3: Fire and Ash."
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles and New York, the first billboards are already starting to appear. As seen in the photos published online, this time the director may have chosen a darker tone than in his classics "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" or even "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
The poster features the inscription: "The truth will be revealed on 06.12.2026." Footage from Steven Spielberg's film was recently shown at a special event by Universal Pictures dedicated to the opening of a new theater named after the director.
What is known about Steven Spielberg's new film?
According to early reports, the preview featured action scenes, including chases, mysterious cars in the style of "Men in Black," and a dramatic escape by heroine Emily Blunt from a vehicle during a collision with a train.
Screenwriter David Koepp stated that the film will return to the roots of the "old school" of Spielberg's early works about UFOs. The premiere of the UFO film by Universal Pictures is scheduled for June 12, 2026.
