The Christmas sensory garden 'Forest of Wonders' has opened at the Latvian National Botanical Garden in Salaspils. Its main goal is to support children with special needs.
Guests can enjoy walks along festively lit paths, six themed stops, creative workshops, a musical program, a cozy 'Oasis of Warmth' with winter treats, and a meeting with Santa Claus.
Charitable Aspect
On December 5, 2025, the 'Forest of Wonders' opened its doors for the first time to children with special needs and their families, invited as part of the 'Atvērtie spārni' initiative. A special charitable program allowed them to enjoy the festive atmosphere for free, participate in workshops, listen to musical performances, and discover many pleasant surprises.
The 'Forest of Wonders' project is designed as a charitable initiative: the organizers will donate 6% of ticket sales from December 6, 2025, to January 3, 2026, to the TZMO Foundation 'Kopā mainām pasauli'. The foundation helps children with special needs and their families, so every visitor contributes to a good cause with their visit.
