Problematic behavior in dogs can arise for various reasons — from illnesses to mistakes in upbringing. This was stated by dog trainer Vladimir Golubev.
According to him, sudden changes in a pet's behavior may indicate illnesses or injuries. In such cases, it is important to consult a veterinarian as soon as possible. If the behavior has been problematic from an early age, it is worth checking the condition of the central nervous system — congenital damage may be possible.
Another common reason is separation from the owner. Some dogs express stress or dissatisfaction by damaging things. This behavior can be corrected, although relapses may occur in some cases.
The owner's behavior also plays an important role. Golubev gave an example: if a dog once chased a cat off the property and received approval for it, it may perceive such a reaction as normal and begin to show aggression towards other animals. Correcting such an attitude can be extremely difficult.
Age should not be overlooked either. The puppy stage can be the most challenging period, as the dog actively explores the world. However, growing up is often accompanied by changes in behavior, the expert concluded.
