On the last February weekend, everyone is invited to join the specially designed tour route of the Riga Zoo "Tropical Tricks" (Tropu viltības). The tour is free.
As reported on its website, the Riga Zoo will host an exciting tour where the guide will explain how various tropical (and not only tropical) inhabitants of the zoo camouflage themselves, what they pretend to be, how many eyes tigers actually have, and why someone needs to grow algae. The main surprise is that participants will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the zoo's inhabitants.
The tours, lasting exactly one hour, are free and will be conducted over two days. The first tour will take place on February 28, and the second on March 1. The times are 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, and 14:00. The group size is up to 15 people. Pre-registration for participation in the event is not required. So, for wildlife enthusiasts, it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to learn something new about wild animals.
