What to do if there is no manure?

There is an alternative — you can create assembled compost yourself...

If you do not have the opportunity to purchase manure, you can prepare assembled composts yourself. Various household and agricultural waste can be used for this, such as potato and vegetable tops, mowed weeds before they flower, fallen leaves, as well as household waste and garbage. A suitable site is chosen for creating a compost pile. First, a layer of peat or fertile soil is laid down, then a layer of compostable material 20-25 cm thick is placed on top of it.

After that, this layer is covered with peat or soil, and a new layer of compostable material is laid again. Each layer of compost should be covered with peat or soil, and on top of the entire pile, a cover of peat or soil at least 15 cm thick should be made. When laying the compost, it is important to ensure that it remains loose and moderately moist. Manure slurry or feces can be used for moistening, which helps improve the quality of the compost.

After 2-3 months, the compost pile should be turned. Compost is considered ready when it is a homogeneous dark decomposed mass. The maturation period for compost is from 1 to 1.5 years. It can be used as an organic fertilizer for the root zones of trees.
