There is an opinion that on the Day of Epiphany, all water, even tap water, becomes holy.
- Theoretically, if a Christian finds themselves in a place without Orthodox churches and priests, then the Lord, according to their faith, can sanctify even tap water, - explained representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church. - However, if someone simply does not wish to go to church or feels fear, that is unacceptable.
Similar thoughts can be applied to the idea of bathing in a pool or bathtub. By the way, it is not advisable to carry water from the church home in buckets; a small bottle will suffice.
Holy water can be diluted with regular clean water, and it will still retain its grace. The water brought from the church after the Epiphany service on January 19 should be consumed throughout the day, and then taken on an empty stomach with prayer for the entire year. This same water can be used to sprinkle one's home on the day of the holiday, including bathrooms. It can also be used to sprinkle an office, educational institution, and car.
