Doctor Alexander Goryachev explained who is strictly prohibited from diving into the hole on Epiphany.
“Do not thoughtlessly follow traditions. Before diving into the hole, be sure to consult a doctor. You cannot even imagine how your body may react to such a serious load,” noted the specialist.
The doctor emphasized that people with neurological diseases, fluctuations in blood pressure, and signs of a hypertensive crisis should refrain from this Epiphany tradition. Dizziness may occur immediately after immersion or during the process.
Diving into the hole is strictly prohibited for those suffering from cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, as well as for those who have had a heart attack or stroke.
“Diving while under the influence of alcohol is absolutely unacceptable. This is not only disrespectful to traditions but also a threat to life,” concluded Goryachev.
