This leads to extra calories and a spike in hunger (remember how you want to eat more chips or French fries).

As a result, experts decided to apply one trick — reduce the number of holes in the salt shaker. This trick proved effective! Observations showed that most people didn’t even notice that significantly less salt was getting into their food.

Try replacing your salt shaker — you can buy a new one or simply change the lid. This trick will help avoid oversalting food during cooking, as well as spare you from generously adding salt to already prepared dishes.

Remember that excess salt in the body retains water. Initially, swelling occurs, which can lead to an increase in the numbers on the scale. Then — more.
