Effective Ways to Clean the Oven from Grease and Grime: Three Simple Methods

All three methods are based on the use of vinegar, which experts believe is a natural and effective cleaning agent.

Cleaning the oven can be a real challenge, especially after the winter holidays when we prepare numerous dishes. Experts suggest three simple home methods that will help eliminate grime, grease, and unpleasant odors. For this, you will need supplies that most of us have on hand.

In all three methods, the main ingredient is vinegar. Specialists claim that it is a natural and effective cleaning agent. It can be purchased in Belarusian stores for

1. Vinegar Spray

The first method involves mixing equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle. For example, you can take one cup of vinegar and one cup of water.

Spray the resulting solution on the dirty areas of the oven and let it sit for at least five minutes.

2. Vinegar and Baking Soda

A mixture of vinegar and baking soda is also suitable for cleaning the oven, especially for more stubborn stains.

Sprinkle baking soda on the oven surface, then spray it with water or a vinegar-water solution. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, after which remove the paste or gently scrub to achieve cleanliness.

3. Method with Fireproof Dish

For this method, preheat the oven to the maximum temperature, then mix vinegar with water in a fireproof bowl or another suitable container.

Place the container in the oven for 20-60 minutes, depending on the level of contamination.

In this method, the vinegar solution will evaporate, effectively removing grease and dirt from the walls, bottom, and ceiling of the oven.

What Not to Use for Cleaning the Oven?

Experts warn that abrasive cleaning agents, such as harsh powders, should be avoided. They can damage the surfaces of the oven, including the inner walls, glass, and heating elements.
