The nutritionist explained how to properly consume honey

Honey consumption should be limited, considering it more as a medicinal remedy than as a dessert. This was warned by nutritionist Svetlana Fus.

 

Many people mistakenly perceive honey as a substitute for sugar.

“In fact, it is a natural sugar consisting of the same simple carbohydrates: glucose and fructose. One hundred grams of honey contains about 82% of these substances,” the specialist explained.

According to her, the optimal daily dose of this calorie-dense product is two to three teaspoons.

The doctor also noted that honey loses its beneficial properties when heated. Therefore, Fus recommends consuming honey with cottage cheese, syrniki, and casseroles. This combination helps neutralize fast carbohydrates without disrupting insulin production and preventing sharp fluctuations in glucose levels.
