At midnight on May 18, police were reviewing footage from cameras installed throughout Riga. Their attention was drawn to a tipsy group of people gathered near an old BMW car in Vecmīlgrāvis.
After a while, the car drove off, and a police crew rushed to intercept it.
The female driver tried to evade the chase, but you can't easily hide from the Riga police. Realizing the futility of her intentions, the woman abandoned the car and ran into the night.
However, she did not run for long – she was quickly caught by a man in uniform and thrown to the cold ground in Vecmīlgrāvis.
In this hopeless situation, the troublemaker did not give up. She attempted to fend off the police with tear gas, but mixed something up and sprayed herself instead.
As a result, the municipal officers had to call not only their superiors from the State Police but also an ambulance team. The former provided legal assistance, while the latter provided medical help.
