A residential building is on fire in the center of Riga 0 22

The State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that a call was received at 7:30 AM for Kļavu Street in Riga, where, according to initial information, a fire broke out in a five-story residential building. Firefighters currently have no further details about what exactly is burning and the area involved, as well as whether there are any casualties.

As observed by the LETA agency, several units of firefighting equipment and the Emergency Medical Service arrived at the scene — at the end of Elizabeth Street near the railway.

Due to firefighting operations, traffic is hindered on the section of Elizabeth Street between Satekles and Kļavu Streets.
