In Riga on Krasta Street, 100 people were evacuated from a service building due to a small fire, the State Fire and Rescue Service reported to the LETA agency.

At 9:49, the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call to Krasta Street in Riga. At the scene, a paint booth in a one-story service building measuring five square meters was on fire, as well as ventilation equipment covering an area of ten square meters.

Before the arrival of the SFRS, 100 people were evacuated from the building.

At 10:33, the fire was localized. Firefighters continue to work at the scene.

Artis Skulte, the head of the Moller Auto Krasta dealership, confirmed to the LETA agency that the fire occurred in their auto service premises; however, it has already been extinguished, and the dealership along with the auto service has resumed operations.

In response to a question about whether any vehicles were damaged, Skulte noted that some inventory and part of the building were slightly affected, but customer property was not damaged.

He added that all employees and visitors were evacuated according to established safety procedures, and no one was injured. The causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
