The investigation into the case is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office.
Turkish media report that well-known model and actress Buse Iskenderoglu (29), the holder of the title 'Miss Turkey 2016', has been arrested in a drug case.
As part of the investigation, 17 people have been detained, 12 of whom have been arrested, including Buse.

The investigation is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office. The arrested individuals are accused of 'manufacturing and distributing narcotic substances', 'providing special places, equipment, or materials to facilitate the use of narcotic or stimulant substances and taking measures to hinder the capture of users', 'purchasing, accepting, or storing narcotic or stimulant substances for use', 'using narcotic or stimulant substances', and 'aiding prostitution' concerning well-known personalities.
What role 31-year-old Buse Iskenderoglu played in all this is unclear. However, the media is particularly focusing on her arrest.
Buse Iskenderoglu was born in Ankara. In 2016, she won the 'Miss Turkey' contest and represented her country at the 'Miss World' contest. She later became a popular photo model and actress, participating in many charitable and cultural events. No previous reports have indicated any connections to criminal organizations.
The case contains information that Iskenderoglu is a close friend of Shevval Sahin, a former contestant of the 'Miss Turkey' contest, for whom an arrest warrant had previously been issued.
