Yushko died 'due to the development of a shock state.'
Marina Kokal, a resident of St. Petersburg, accused of murdering her husband, rapper Alexander Yushko, known by the stage name Andy Cartwright, has been sentenced to 12.5 years in a general regime colony. She was found guilty under part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ('murder') and part 1 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ('desecration of the bodies of the deceased'). The corresponding decision was made by the Smolninsky District Court of the Northern capital.
According to the unified press service of the city courts, the investigation established that in July 2020, Kokal administered an insulin drug to her husband and later 'intentionally failed to take actions aimed at providing first aid.' As a result, Yushko died 'due to the development of a shock state.' Marina, wishing to conceal the crime, dismembered the body into 15 parts and 'inflicted post-mortem injuries on Yushko in the form of fragmentation of internal organs and soft tissues,' the agency explained.
Kokal herself did not admit her guilt. The prosecution requested a sentence of 13 years in a general regime colony for the woman.
