A few days ago, the FSB reported that they had detained a migrant and two previously convicted Russians. Today it became known who they were planning to blow up.
According to the agency, the detainees planned an assassination attempt on a high-ranking Russian official during his visit to Troekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow.
His name was not disclosed at the time. However, journalists report that the target of the criminals was the former Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and now Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu.
A source claims that the suspects hid a camera in a flower vase placed at the burial site of Shoigu's family. The camera, according to the investigation, was supposed to record his appearance at the site, after which it was planned to activate an explosive device.
Shoigu led the Ministry of Defense during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After the war turned from a "three-day" conflict into a three-year one, Shoigu was removed from his positions and sent into honorable retirement in the Security Council.
