On Wednesday, as a result of an accident that occurred on the Rezekne highway in the Cirmas parish of the Ludza region, a child was killed, the LETA agency was informed by the State Police.
Under currently unknown circumstances, there was a collision between an "Opel" and a "Hyundai". There were six people in the vehicles, including one minor, who was killed as a result of the accident.
As reported, on Wednesday, 13 people were injured in road traffic accidents in Latvia, including two pedestrians and two cyclists.
In total, 154 incidents were registered on the roads over the past 24 hours, with eight accidents resulting in injuries.
