Oil Prices Reported to Have Increased

Global oil prices surged sharply amid the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and reports of disruptions in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

As of Monday morning, March 2, Brent crude oil futures rose to $82.37 per barrel. American oil WTI increased to $75.33 per barrel, reaching its highest level since June 2025.

The rise in prices is linked to market concerns about potential supply restrictions from the region through which a significant portion of the world's oil exports passes.

Analysts estimate that in the short term, oil prices may fluctuate in the range of $80 to $90 per barrel depending on the developments in the region and the stability of transport routes.
