Rietumu Banka now offers its clients the opportunity to use Apple Pay – a fast, secure, and modern payment method.
This is another step in the implementation of modern and convenient digital solutions for the bank's clients.
With Apple Pay, payments can be made at retail locations, in mobile apps, and online without using a physical payment card.
Payments are made using Apple devices – iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac – and are more secure than using a physical card. Payments are confirmed using Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode, while the card number is not shared with the merchant. Additionally, for online purchases, there is no need to create an account or fill out lengthy application forms.

Apple Pay not only allows clients to make purchases quickly and conveniently but also aligns with our long-term strategy of offering modern digital solutions that are as secure, convenient, and time-saving as possible,” says Jānis Plikšs, Head of Customer Service at Rietumu Banka.
To add any Rietumu Banka credit card to Apple Pay, open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap “+”, and follow the instructions. Once the card is added, Apple Pay becomes available immediately on all compatible Apple devices, allowing clients to make purchases wherever this payment method is accepted.
