The cost of imports to Latvia from Russia and Belarus decreased threefold

The total value of goods imported last year from Russia and Belarus to Latvia, compared to 2024, decreased 2.9 times (353.537 million euros) and amounted to 191.065 million euros, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau.

Last year, goods worth 125.645 million euros were imported from Russia to Latvia, which is 3.1 times (269.91 million euros) less than in 2024, and from Belarus - worth 65.42 million euros, which is 2.3 times (83.627 million euros) less.

At the same time, in 2025, Latvia exported goods to Russia and Belarus totaling 1.095 billion euros, which is 7.2% (85.343 million euros) less than in 2024.

The volume of Latvia's exports to Russia last year amounted to 962.511 million euros, which is 7.3% (75.279 million euros) less than in 2024, and to Belarus - worth 132.476 million euros, which is 7.1% (10.064 million euros) less.

Imports from Russia and Belarus last year accounted for 0.8% (2.5% in 2024) of the total volume of Latvian imports, while exports to Russia and Belarus accounted for 5.6% (6.3%) of the total volume of Latvian exports.

As reported, last year Latvia exported goods worth 19.538 billion euros, which is 3.7% (698.086 million euros) more than in 2024, and imported goods worth 23.194 billion euros, which is 6.9% (1.501 billion euros) more.
