On Sunday, electricity consumers can expect high price levels and significant volatility: during the evening peak hour, the price of electricity will rise to nearly 400 euros per megawatt-hour.
According to Nord Pool, the average daily exchange price will be 177.99 euros, which is 12.4 percent higher than on Saturday.
The price peak will occur between 17:00 and 17:15, when electricity will cost 398.55 euros per megawatt-hour. The cheapest time of the day will be at night, from 1:45 to 2:00, when the price will drop to 61.21 euros. The price level will remain above 100 euros for more than 16 hours.
While the price of electricity is at the same level in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, the situation is significantly different in Finland. In the northern neighbor, electricity will cost an average of only 97.90 euros on Sunday, which is 45 percent cheaper.
