Global revenues from international tourism are estimated to have risen to $1.9 trillion in 2025, which is 5% more than the previous year, according to data from the UN World Tourism Organization.
"Monthly data shows high tourist spending throughout 2025. According to preliminary estimates, global revenues from international tourism reached $1.9 trillion, which is 5% higher than in 2024. The total revenue from the export of tourism services, including passenger transport, is estimated at $2.2 trillion," the organization reports.
Among the countries that showed steady growth in revenues in 2025 are Morocco (+19%), South Korea (+18%), Egypt (+17%), Mongolia (+15%), Japan (+14%), Latvia (+11%), and Mauritius (+10%).
Tourism revenues also increased in the United Kingdom and France (both by 9%), Spain (+7%), and Turkey (+6%).
The cost of tourist travel was assessed separately. Thus, travel expenses abroad increased in the USA (+8%), France (+4%), Spain (+16%), and the Republic of Korea (+10%).
