In Europe (European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway), car sales decreased by 1% to 634.6 thousand. In Germany, the figure remained virtually unchanged at 213.2 thousand.

Sales in Asia collapsed by 16% (to 747 thousand cars), including a 19% drop in China (to 551.9 thousand). In North America, they fell by 12% (to 320.6 thousand), including a 12% decrease in the United States (to 284.6 thousand).

In other regions, sales increased by 17% to 98.7 thousand cars.

Sales of electric vehicles (BEV) by Mercedes-Benz decreased by 9% last year, totaling 168.8 thousand. Meanwhile, in the fourth quarter, they grew by 3% year-on-year, reaching 50.4 thousand.
