Dutch beer producer Heineken N.V. announced the dismissal of its CEO Dolph van den Brink, as reported on the company's website.
He will hand over leadership to his successor, who has yet to be determined, on May 31, 2026, after nearly six years as CEO and over 28 years with the company overall.
After his resignation, van den Brink will remain as an advisor to the company for eight months.
Bloomberg points out that van den Brink's dismissal comes amid declining sales of Heineken beer in Europe and the Americas.
In October, the company announced that its annual profit would be lower than expected, and sales volumes would decrease.
Heineken N.V. is the largest beer producer in Europe and one of the largest in the world by production volume. Its portfolio includes brands such as Heineken, Tecate, Amstel, Fosters, and others.
