In ten months, Latvia imported the most piparkukas and similar products from Ukraine, while exporting them to Lithuania, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau.
In ten months, Latvia imported piparkukas from Ukraine worth €959,306. In turn, gingerbread was exported to Lithuania worth €1,296,461.
This year, piparkukas were also imported from Poland worth €531,619, and from Estonia worth €275,561.
At the same time, from January to October of this year, gingerbread was exported to Estonia worth €317,112, and to Germany worth €305,486.
Overall, in the first ten months of this year, gingerbread and similar products worth €2,371,349 were exported from Latvia, while imports into Latvia amounted to €2,169,553.
