Salmonella bacteria have been found in chicken drumsticks (boneless) of Polish origin, according to information released by the Food and Veterinary Service (FVS), reports LETA.
The Food and Veterinary Service (FVS) detected Salmonella Newport bacteria as a result of laboratory testing of a sample taken from JSC "Lido."
The service indicates that the expiration date of such chicken drumsticks of Polish origin with batch number "PL SD 533256633" has expired, and they are no longer on sale.
The FVS published an information message about the identified violation in the European Union's rapid alert system.
The FVS is a government agency under the Ministry of Agriculture that carries out state supervision and control in the field of food and veterinary circulation.
