Total tax debts in Latvia decreased at the beginning of November 0 7

As of November 1, 2025, the debt to the main state budget amounted to 339.804 million euros, which is 0.8% more than the previous month, the debt to local government budgets was 299.008 million euros, which is 2.1% less than the previous month, and the debts for social security contributions amounted to 183.338 million euros, which is 1.1% less.

As of November 1 of this year, the current debts on which penalties are charged accounted for 64.4% of the total debt amount, or 529.161 million euros.

In addition, according to the State Revenue Service (SRS), debts amounting to 1.548 million euros were recognized as uncollectible as of November 1 of this year - these debts were incurred by liquidated enterprises before the completion of the liquidation process.

On the other hand, debts amounting to 527.613 million euros were recognized as collectible according to regulations at the beginning of November, including debts amounting to 233.304 million euros recognized as actually collectible, and debts amounting to 294.309 million euros recognized as not actually collectible. For debts amounting to 294.241 million euros, recognized as not actually collectible, the debtors have no funds or property that could be seized, and the statute of limitations has expired for the collection of debts amounting to 67,800 euros.

An extension of the repayment period was granted for debts totaling 79.183 million euros as of November 1 of this year, which is 17.9% less than at the beginning of the year.

The amount of suspended debts, for which the accrual of penalties has been stopped, amounted to 213.806 million euros at the beginning of November - this amount consisted of debts of enterprises recognized as insolvent.

As of January 1, 2025, the total tax debt in Latvia was 844.276 million euros.
