In Latvia, the registered unemployment rate at the end of October this year, as well as at the end of September, was 4.7% of the economically active population, according to published data from the State Employment Agency (SEA), reports LETA.

As of the end of October 2025, a total of 40,854 unemployed individuals were registered with the State Employment Agency (SEA) – 254 fewer than the previous month, when 41,108 unemployed individuals were registered.

The lowest level of registered unemployment at the end of October was still observed in the Riga region – 3.6% of the economically active population, which is 0.1 percentage points lower than the previous month. The highest level of unemployment remained in the Latgale region – 9.7%, the same as in the previous month.

In Kurzeme, the level of registered unemployment at the end of October was 4.9%, the same as at the end of September.

In Zemgale, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.1 percentage points in October and was 4.3% at the end of the month, while in Vidzeme, the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.2% throughout October.

At the end of 2024, the registered unemployment rate in Latvia was 5.3%.
