Three and a half months ago, it became the first in the world with a market capitalization of $4 trillion, surpassing Microsoft and Apple.

Founded in 1993, Nvidia produces graphics processors that are the foundation for large language models and is reaping huge benefits from the artificial intelligence boom, especially after the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022.

During this time, its stock has increased twelvefold, and Nvidia now accounts for over 8% of the S&P 500 index.

"We expect that sooner or later, tech giants will try to find alternative suppliers or create their own solutions to reduce dependence on Nvidia in the field of artificial intelligence. However, these efforts will at best only slightly weaken, but will not be able to replace Nvidia's dominance in this market," said Brian Colello, a senior equity analyst at Morningstar, to Reuters.
