Employers Announce Over 1300 Vacancies for Job Fair in Riga

As of October 1, employers have already registered over 1300 job vacancies for participation in the job fair organized by the State Employment Agency (GAS) on October 23 at the "Fantadroms" conference and event center in Riga (New Teika), reports the LETA agency citing GAS.

GAS reminds that employers who are still looking for employees can apply to participate in the job fair until the end of the working day on October 8 by filling out a questionnaire on the agency's website. Participation is free for both employers and job seekers.

So far, companies and institutions such as "Adoro Melodija," "Apollo Group," "Austra Pak," "Baltic Restaurants Latvia," "BWT Timber," "CCC Riga Digital Services," "Depo DIY," "Energofirma Jauda," "Food Union / Rīga Dairy Plant," "Grindeks," "Hagberg," the Prison Administration, "Kesko Senukai Latvia," "Ķekava Foods," "Latvijas dzelzceļš" ("Latvian Railways"), "Lāči," "Lenoka," "Maxima Latvija," "Mogotel Hotel Group," the Recruitment and Selection Center of the Joint Headquarters of the National Armed Forces, the Emergency Medical Service, "Pasažieru vilciens" ("Passenger Train"), Rīga East Clinical University Hospital, "Rīgas autonoma," Rīga Airport, "Rīgas satiksme," the 1st Rīga Hospital, "Rimi Latvija," "SOL Baltics OU Latvijas Filiāle," the State Police, "Viada Baltija," and others have confirmed their participation.

Employers at the fair will also have the opportunity to speak in the presentation hall to share information about their activities, work environment, values, and development directions.

In turn, job seekers will be able to meet in person with representatives of companies from various sectors on the day of the event, discuss working conditions and job specifics, and participate in interviews. Sign language interpretation will be provided for job seekers with hearing impairments. GAS recommends preparing a resume (CV) in advance. If assistance is needed in its preparation, one can sign up for a career consultation.

A specialized GAS stand will also operate at the fair. Agency specialists will provide consultations on career planning, job searching, and mobility, as well as inform about GAS services, including opportunities for acquiring or enhancing professional knowledge and skills with government support.

The event is organized as part of the European Social Fund Plus project "Strengthening the Effectiveness of the State Employment Agency."
