On the night of Tuesday, Russian forces launched missile and drone strikes on several Ukrainian cities. According to preliminary data, at least nine people were killed, dozens were injured, and residential buildings and civil infrastructure were damaged.
One of the most severe night attacks in recent days affected several regions of Ukraine. According to local authorities, at least nine people were killed as a result of Russian strikes, and dozens more were injured.
The highest number of casualties was recorded in Dnipro.
There, five people died, and another 25 were injured. Residential buildings and other facilities were damaged in the city. Additionally, three people were reported injured in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Kyiv was also severely affected.
In the Ukrainian capital, four people died, and about 50 were injured. According to city authorities, 35 people were hospitalized, while others received assistance on site.
After the strikes, fires broke out in various areas of Kyiv.
Rescue services continue to work at the impact sites, as there is a possibility that people may remain under the rubble.
Such reports indicate that the number of injured and deceased may still change as the debris is cleared.
Strikes also hit Kharkiv.
There, ten people were injured. Residential buildings, administrative facilities, and elements of civil infrastructure were damaged.
Most of these attacks in recent months increasingly affect not only energy or industrial facilities but also residential areas of major cities, raising the risk of casualties among the civilian population.
The extent of the destruction in the affected cities is still being assessed. Ukrainian emergency services continue to mitigate the consequences of the strikes, while local authorities evaluate the damage.
As new information comes in, the data on the number of deceased, injured, and damaged facilities may be adjusted.
