A fire broke out at the oil terminal in Novorossiysk following a nighttime drone attack. Russian authorities report injuries and debris from drones falling in the port area.
On Saturday night, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian port city of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea. Following the strike, a fire broke out at the oil depot.
According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region, several technical and administrative buildings caught fire. There are also reports of drone debris falling in the area of the fuel terminal.
Authorities claim that as a result of the attack, two men were injured. According to official information, they were on the street at the time of the debris falling and were hospitalized.
Novorossiysk remains one of Russia's key ports on the Black Sea and an important hub for the export of oil and petroleum products. This is why attacks on such facilities attract special attention.
The Ukrainian Telegram channel Supernova+, which tracks the consequences of strikes on Russian territory, also reported a fire in the port area following the drone attack.
In recent months, drone strikes on fuel and port infrastructure in Russia have become more frequent. Typically, targets include oil depots, fuel storage facilities, and logistics sites.
For residents of southern Russia, this means regular air raid alerts and restrictions on the operation of port infrastructure, especially in the Black Sea regions.
Information about the extent of the damage and possible disruptions to terminal operations is still being clarified.
