Trump Criticizes NATO Again

U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized NATO on Monday for refusing to join the United States in the war against Iran, LETA reported citing DPA.

Trump told reporters at the White House that he is very disappointed with NATO and that the war has left a stain on the alliance that will never disappear, once again calling NATO a "paper tiger." He accused allies of offering their support too late.

"I don’t need help after we’ve already won," the White House occupant stated.

The president also directly criticized allies in the Pacific region who did not assist Washington in the war against Iran.

"Japan didn’t help us. South Korea didn’t help us, and when it came to NATO, NATO didn’t help us," Trump emphasized.

He made this statement ahead of the anticipated visit of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
