During the pilot rescue operation, U.S. military forces were able to land near Isfahan.

During the U.S. operation to rescue the pilot of the downed F-15E, American military forces were able to land 400 kilometers from the border between Iran and Iraq, south of the crucial city of Isfahan, which houses Iran's nuclear technology center, military and missile bases, as well as an airbase.

What happened revealed a dangerous issue — Iran's air defense forces were not in the best condition.

"The passage of an entire procession of planes and helicopters to such a critically important city speaks volumes about the state of Iran's air defense," the material noted.

The authors also questioned what would have happened if the Americans had flown to seize an Iranian nuclear facility to subsequently transport uranium instead of rescuing the pilot.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed details of the operation to rescue the F-15 pilot. According to him, dozens of helicopters participated, "armed with the deadliest weapons in the world." He also indicated that as a result of the operation, casualties among American military personnel were avoided.
