Iran will attack U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf if they are not closed. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Said Khatibzadeh in an interview with CNN.
"Iran cannot penetrate U.S. territory, so we have no choice but to attack any bases under U.S. jurisdiction," the diplomat said.
On February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. The targets included command facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, airfields, drone launch sites, and air defense systems. Following this, the authorities of the Islamic Republic began to retaliate against Israel and U.S. facilities in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. The United Arab Emirates were also targeted.
On the same day, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the elimination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Tehran officially acknowledged this on the morning of March 1, calling it "an open war against all Muslims."
