Residents of Lithuania earn an average of €1,514 'net'

The average salary in Lithuania increased by €107 over the year and reached €1,514 'net' in the fourth quarter of 2025, reports the State Social Insurance Fund (Sodra) of Lithuania.

Over the year, the average income before taxes increased by approximately €189 (about 8% more than a year ago). Thus, a person working full-time for a full month now earns an average of €2,480 before taxes.

"We calculated that the income of the average worker increased by €107 and reached €1,514 net," said Kristina Zitikite, an advisor in the Department of Statistics, Analysis, and Forecasting of the State Social Insurance Fund (Sodra), to reporters on Tuesday.

Although salaries continue to rise, according to K. Zitikite, the growth rate of income is already lower than in previous years. With an annual inflation rate of 3.8%, the real growth of income has become more moderate.

"It must be noted that in 2025, the real growth of income was lower than in previous years," noted the Sodra representative.

The median salary increased by 8.7% over the year, reaching €1,934 before taxes. This means that half of all insured persons earned less than €1,232 net, while half earned more. The income of every fourth worker ranged from €1,000 to €1,500 before taxes.
