Trump stated that he can do "terrible things" to other countries following the court's decision on tariffs.

"The U.S. Supreme Court accidentally and unwittingly granted me as president much greater authority and power than I had before their ridiculous, foolish, and internationally divisive decision," he wrote on Truth Social.

According to Trump, the remaining mechanisms of tariffs he can now apply are much more powerful and severe. Additionally, besides tariffs, the president can use trade licenses to pressure other countries:

"I can use licenses to do absolutely terrible things to foreign nations, especially those that have been robbing us for decades."

Last week, the Supreme Court overturned tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), after which Trump imposed another 10% tariff on all imports to the U.S., later raising it to 15%, as noted by the account "Duty Officer in America" on Facebook.
