The head of Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the conditions under which the war may end.
According to the head of Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radek Sikorski, only when the Kremlin realizes the scale of losses and economic consequences will it become clear that the goal of capturing Ukraine is unattainable.
"The fact that Ukrainians are now counterattacking in some places and reclaiming territories should finally convince Putin that he is unable to break through the front and cannot win this war, regardless of how much suffering he inflicts on the civilian population," Polish Radio quotes Radek Sikorski.
"In dictatorships, it often happens that no one wants to bring bad news to the dictator. Therefore, Putin may not have an accurate picture of either this war or the Russian economy. Only when he comes to the conclusion that he cannot win at acceptable costs will he change his calculations, and only then will there be a chance for peace," concluded the Polish Foreign Minister.
