Armed Man Attempted to Enter Trump's Home - He Was Shot

A man was shot in Florida after entering the secured grounds of Mar-a-Lago — Trump's residence.

U.S. Secret Service agents and Palm Beach County sheriff's office personnel shot a man who illegally entered the secured perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, said Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

The man, approximately 20 years old, was seen at the north gate of the Mar-a-Lago estate with an object resembling a shotgun and a fuel canister. U.S. Secret Service agents and a deputy sheriff "confronted" the individual, and during the encounter, opened fire.

The identity of the deceased is not being released until his next of kin are notified, Guglielmi clarified. The incident is under investigation by the FBI, and the motives of the deceased are currently unknown.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw stated that it is unclear whether the suspect's weapon was loaded. When officers found the man with a gasoline canister and shotgun, they ordered him to drop the items, but he dropped the canister and raised the shotgun into a firing position. Following this, agents opened fire to "neutralize the threat," Bradshaw stated.
