Estonia and Latvia to Purchase Hundreds of Bunkers for the Baltic Defense Line 0 10

Estonia and Latvia have begun searching for companies capable of producing concrete bunkers in large volumes and delivering them to storage locations for the Baltic Defense Line as part of a tender with negotiations. The announcement of the joint procurement has been published in the state procurement register.

"The first bunkers for the Baltic Defense Line have already been delivered, and their installation is gradually underway in southeastern and northeastern Estonia. The experience gained gives us confidence to move on to a larger-scale procurement. It is especially pleasing that we are doing this together with our southern neighbors. It is also important that the joint tender allows us to reduce costs through economies of scale," noted Asko Kivinuk, Deputy Head of the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments.

The Baltic Defense Line is a joint initiative of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania aimed at stopping a potential military attack from the very first meters of the state border.
