During the ongoing military mobility exercises "Steadfast Dart" on Wednesday, NATO soldiers will practice landing on the Baltic Sea coast in Germany, LETA reports citing DPA.
After a maritime transit, soldiers, weapons, and equipment will be landed on the shore at a training area in Schleswig-Holstein.
About 15 ships and 2,600 soldiers will participate in the landing operation. The operation will be monitored by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and NATO General Ingo Gerhartz, who is responsible for NATO forces in Central Europe.
The "Steadfast Dart" exercises involve 17 ships from 13 countries, over 1,500 units of military equipment, and around 10,000 soldiers. This is NATO's largest exercise this year, with significant contributions from Southern European countries such as Greece, Italy, and Spain, as well as Turkey.
