Putin is a slave to war, - Zelensky

Although the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin sees himself as a tsar, in reality, he is a slave to war, said Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in his speech at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, LETA reported, citing DW.

“Nothing interests Putin anymore,” except for war, said the president.

“He cannot imagine life without power and after power. Normal things do not interest him,” noted Zelensky.

“He consults more with Peter I and Catherine the Great than with anyone currently alive,” the president stated.

“Right now, Ukraine is at the center of his attention, but he will not refuse other European countries, because he cannot give up the very idea of war,” Zelensky warned.

“He considers himself a tsar, but in reality, he is a slave to war. And if he lives for another ten years, the war will return and become even larger in scale,” the president emphasized.

“Therefore, Ukraine and Europe need strong security guarantees. These guarantees must precede peace agreements,” Zelensky stated.

“We know that U.S. President Donald Trump hears us, Congress hears us, and the American people hear us; we are grateful for the real assistance,” said the president of Ukraine.
