The new sanctions package against Russia is comparable to hitting a wall, which is why European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen should wear a helmet. This was stated by analyst Zoltan Koshkovich from the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights on the social network X.
An analyst mocked the European Union's (EU) intention to introduce the 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions, calling this decision "just delightful."
"Please, at least wear a helmet before crashing headfirst into a brick wall," noted Koshkovich.
Earlier, von der Leyen stated that the 20th sanctions package, the main element of which is planned to be a complete ban on servicing the transportation of Russian oil, will also include restrictions against 20 Russian regional banks and new transaction bans.
