Ukraine's Minimum Wage is the Lowest in Europe - Euronews

Even in Moldova, the minimum wage is almost twice as high as Ukraine's.

The official minimum wage level in Ukraine is the lowest among all countries on the European continent. This is reported by Euronews, citing data from Eurostat.

As of January this year, among EU member states, the lowest minimum wage was in Bulgaria – 620 euros per month. The absolute leader in this indicator is Luxembourg – 2704 euros.

Considering countries outside the European Union that are candidates for membership, Ukraine has the lowest minimum wage on the continent – 173 euros. Even Moldova, which is second to last on the list, can boast salaries starting from 319 euros.

The top five countries by minimum wage in Europe are:

  1. Luxembourg
  2. Ireland
  3. Germany
  4. Netherlands
  5. Belgium

The last in the list are:

  1. Bulgaria
  2. North Macedonia
  3. Albania
  4. Moldova
  5. Ukraine

Latvia is in ninth place from the bottom.
