There is a possibility of signing documents on economic cooperation worth about 12 trillion dollars between the US and Russia. This was reported by President Vladimir Zelensky during a conversation with journalists.
According to the head of state, intelligence has informed him about the so-called "Dmitriev package," which proposes economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States.
"The volume is about 12 trillion dollars. It seems to be a package of economic cooperation between America and Russia. So we hear about the likelihood of such or similar bilateral documents between America and Russia," the president said.
He noted that there are various signals in the media that these documents may also include issues related to Ukraine. "We clearly show that Ukraine will not support even the probable such agreements of the parties about us without us," emphasized the head of state.
Russia demands that the US recognize Crimea as Russian at peace talks, but Ukraine will not support such agreements, Zelensky stated.
"I believe that Russia is most likely signaling to America – recognize Crimea," Zelensky said.
"We are simply saying that if someone wants to resolve issues for us that contradict the Constitution of Ukraine or Ukrainian legislation, then Ukraine will not support such agreements," the president stated.
