The head of government is urgently flying to Croatia.
Prime Minister Evika Siliņa will be on a working visit to Zagreb, Croatia, from January 30 to 31, where meetings with European leaders are scheduled.
As part of the working visit, a bilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of Latvia and the Prime Minister of Croatia is planned to discuss cooperation between Latvia and Croatia in the European Union (EU), the security situation in the region, and other relevant issues on the international agenda.
Additionally, during the working visit, meetings with other leaders of European countries and EU INSTITUTIONS are planned to discuss current geopolitical challenges, as well as Europe's role in the world and the main political priorities for 2026. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to participate in a meeting of the leaders of the European People's Party (EPP), hosted by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
