WSJ: Europe anticipates new threats from Trump regarding Greenland.
European politicians believe that U.S. President Donald Trump may again start making threats towards Greenland. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
"There is little confidence in European capitals that transatlantic relations will return to normal or that Trump will ultimately not resume his threats regarding Greenland," the article states.
The publication emphasized that the residents of Greenland do not see Trump's attempts to justify Washington's plans in terms of the will or well-being of the island's population.
After World War II, Greenland was stripped of its colonial status, and since 1953, the island has been declared part of the Kingdom of Denmark. In 1979, Greenland was granted extensive autonomy in internal affairs.
