In the coming hours, the Russian delegation will fly to Abu Dhabi for negotiations with Ukraine with the participation of the USA, stated Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the President of Russia, after Vladimir Putin's meeting with representatives of Donald Trump, DW reports.

"It has been agreed that today, that is, on Friday, January 23, the first meeting of the trilateral working group on security issues will be held in Abu Dhabi," Ushakov noted. A recording of his statement was published on the website of the state news agency TASS.
The Russian delegation has already been formed and will fly to the Emirates in the coming hours. Meeting of the USA and Russia on Ukraine in Moscow
In the meeting that took place late on January 23 in the Kremlin behind closed doors, the American side was represented by the special envoy of the President of the USA, Steve Witkoff, Senior Advisor to the White House Josh Grunbaum, as well as Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Kushner, who served as Trump's Senior Advisor from January 2017 to January 2021, currently holds no official position in the US administration, but he retains influence over his father-in-law and participates in the diplomatic and political initiatives of the White House.
Josh Grunbaum is the Commissioner of the Federal Procurement Service in the General Services Administration of the USA, appointed by Trump as a Senior Advisor to the newly created "Council for Peace"; he participated in the negotiations for the first time.
Ushakov: Negotiations with the USA on Ukraine Were "Exclusively Substantive"
From Russia, in addition to Putin and Ushakov, the meeting in the Kremlin included the special representative of the President of Russia, Kirill Dmitriev, General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). According to Yuri Ushakov, these "negotiations lasted more than four hours and were exclusively substantive, constructive, and extremely frank and trusting."
Witkoff and Kushner shared their impressions of the contacts that took place in Davos, including Trump's meeting with Zelensky, Ushakov reported.
He added that a meeting of the heads of the bilateral Russian-American economic affairs group, Steve Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev, will also take place in Abu Dhabi.
